The gaping absence of the members may be attributed to the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the largest opposition party.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), which has a majority among the Minority in Parliament, will go to the polls on Saturday, June 13 to elect parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.
Thirty constituencies have, however, been exempted due to a “variety of outstanding issues”.
In Parliament on Thursday, June 11, our correspondent reports, most of the seats in the Minority side were empty.
Fourteen will run unopposed with five abdicating their seats after 2016. The rest including the Minority Leader are facing contests.
