At least four persons have been arrested in connection with the sophisticated weapons, including military grade artillery, at least 20 AK47 assault riffles, magazines and more than 200 live ammunition.
The weapon, according to TV3 sources within the Ashanti Regional Police Command, were stashed in a house at Alabar, one of the suburbs in the regional capital noted for its high crime rate.
Our sources say the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye, will on Monday brief the nation on the incident.
