Already, several well-meaning individuals are organizations have contributed towards the campaign both in cash and kind.

The latest to have donated are the Free Masons Society of the District Grand Lodge of Ghana and the Redsea Maritime Services Limited.

The Freemasons of the District Grand Lodge of Ghana, English Constitution, donated a cheque for GH¢25,000 to the June 3 disaster support fund.

The Head and District Grand Master of the Fraternity, Right Worshipful Brother Kow Abaka Quansah, noted that the gesture is to give relief to victims of the flood and fire disaster.

“We just wanted to associate ourselves with the one who launched the appeal here who happens to be a senior member of our fraternity. And we know that having launched the fund, he will ensure that the fund is properly managed and would be applied faithfully for the reason for which it was launched”.

He seized the opportunity to debunk the perception that, the free masons fraternity is involved in diabolism and occultism.

“Our members come from all walks of life and you must have the belief in a supreme being which is God. We are not a secret society as some perceive us to be. We trust that the donation we’ve made this morning will be received and faithfully applied to bring relief to the unfortunate victims of this disaster”.

Red Sea Maritime Services Limited, a private shore handling company operating at Tema also presented items worth GH¢10,000.

The company said it chose TV3 as a point of delivery because they are of the firm conviction that the company will use the donation for the exact purpose.

A trader, Margaret Gamena, also provided three bags of used clothes and hand bags to support Tv3’s initiative.
