Manchester United star Odion Ighalo leads a flurry of condemnations from some of Nigeria’s most prominent sportsmen as the #EndSARS protests led to deaths in Lagos.
Moments after United’s 2-1 away win over Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA champions league, the forward posted a video in which he slammed the Nigeria government as a “shame to the world for killing your own citizens.”

In recent weeks, Nigerians have demonstrated against the harsh conditions that have been meted out on them by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
The unit was disbanded but the protests have continued, calling for an end to bad governance.
On Tuesday October 20, the situation escalated leading to deaths of some protesters.
This development has caught the attention of many sports persons around the world and some have taken to social media to condemn the violence and brutality in the oil-producing West African country.
