The Ghana Education Service (GES) says the self-placement portal for the Senior High School placement is up and functioning properly after a hitch which caused the portal to be down. There has been issues with the placement system for the past few days, leaving many students dissatisfied with their schools while others are unable to access the portal for self-placement. Hundreds of parents thronged the placement help centre at the Black Star Square in Accra with their wards Monday morning to have their issues resolved, but there was no official readily available to engage them.

Following this, the GES in  a statement signed by Head of its Communications Unit Cassandra Twum Ampofo said the hitches with the portal has been solved, and urged students who are yet to be placed to visit the portal for their placement. “The management if the Ghana Education Service announces for the information of students, parents and general public that the Self-Placement module on the school’s placement platform is up and running.” The GES apologised for the hitch and asked students who did their placement last week to visit the platform and re-select a school. “All students who did Self-Placement between 9th and 11th September, 2019 should go back to the Self-Placement module to select a school.” Source: 3news.com|Ghana  ]]>
