Road to NSMQ 2020 begins

The road to this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz has begun with the regional championships. The championships are expected to select schools to join the 27 already seeded for the 2020 contest. The regional contests begin in the Western North Region on Monday with Juaboso SHS, Nana Brentu SHS, Bia SHTS, Sefwi Wiawso SHS, Sefwi Bekwai SHS and Bodi SHS locking horns. Fiifi Hope is the quiz master. Later in the day, Asawinso SHS, Bibiani SHTS, Sefwi Wiwaso SHTS, Nsawora SHS, Dadieso SHS and Akontombra SHS will also face off. Western Region schools will be next on Tuesday. The contests in the Western North and Western regions are taking place at the GNAT Hall in Takoradi. Upper West Region will be next on Wednesday with the Central Region following. The regional championships are expected to be completed by Thursday, March 5, three clear months before the contest proper to take place at the University of Ghana.
