The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revised the disbursement plan of incentive packages for staff of senior high and technical schools. According to a release on Thursday, May 2, both teaching and non-teaching staff will benefit from the package. While 80 per cent goes to teaching staff, 20 per cent will go to non-teaching staff in each secondary school. While 60 per cent of the allocation for teaching staff will serve as base rate, the rest will be based equally on rank and approved total instructional hours per week. For non-teaching staff, half of the 20 per cent will serve as a base rate while half will be disbursed based on approved staff schedule. “Priority should be given to the kitchen staff,” the release instructed. Already, there is a teacher motivation of GH¢20 per student paid under the Free SHS Policy. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
