The 2017/2018 National Service Group of the CAL Bank, made up of 125 personnel, has put up a five-bedroom edifice for the Royal Seed Orphanage at Kwao-Bondzie in the Central Region. The project was undertaken from their monthly allowances. According to the President of the Grou, Donaldson Adu Gyamfi,  the project was funded through a system of deducting from the allowances. “When we came here for the first time, the disabled children at this orphanage were sleeping on a wooden structure, the rest of the Children had no place to sleep. “It was very disturbing that’s why we decided to build this five-bedroom house for them as part of our service to God and our country,” he explained. The GH¢70,000-worth building was handed over to the co-founder, Naomi Esi-Amoah, and the queenmother of Awushie Tetteh, Naatse Ashorkor 1 at Kwao Bondzie. Naomi Esi Amoah expressed her gratitude to the service personnel and made a further call on institutions and individuals to support the orphans who have no family to cater for them. The Deputy Executive Director of National Service Scheme, Kwaku Ohene Gyan, urged all national service personnel to show diligence in their service to the country to enhance the socio-economic development of the country. “National Service is the time to contribute to the nation’s development by serving with the knowledge you acquired through the years of education,” he said. The event was graced by staff at CAL BANK including the Head of the Human Resource, Kwame Boafo. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
