BECE: Don’t engage in sexual immorality after completion – GNECC urges candidates

The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC)  has told all candidates in the just-started 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BEC) not to involve in sexual immorality, alcoholic and physical violence after completion.

The GNECC told the candidates that completing a BECE exams is just the beginning of their life.

“One of the issues GNECC wants to emphasize on is the celebration of a successful completion of examinations which usually involves sexual immorality, alcoholic and other substance abuse and physical violence.

“We want to tell our candidates that their future is very dear to our country and their family. Completing a BECE exams is just the beginning of their life hence, GNECC encourages them to celebrate wisely without any form of violence or sexual immorality just because they have completed JHS,” a statement issued by the education think tanks aid.

GNECC further called on the Ghana Education Service (GES), heads of schools, teachers and invigilators to adhere to their code of ethics and also involve the efforts of the security services to prevent examination malpractices in all forms.

“The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) is advising all candidates and invigilators to desist from all forms of examination malpractices which may lead to cancellation of their papers or withholding of their results.

“GNECC entreats all parents and guardians to also encourage their wards and provide them with all the necessary examination tools they will need to write the exams successfully. They should also advise them not to engage in any examination malpractices and violence which may jeopardize their future.”

It added “GNECC calls on the Ghana Education Service, head of schools, teachers and invigilators to adhere to their code of ethics and also involve the efforts of the security services to prevent examination malpractices in all forms.”
