The Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, Amedzofe, in the Volta Region is calling on government to come to its aid in meeting its infrastructural needs. It is the expectation of the College that the government will hear its call and come in handy to support the construction of its girls’ hostel, which has been under construction for quite some time now. At the College’s matriculation ceremony, Principal Dr. Dickson Tsey appealed to the government for its intervention through the GetFund. “It is our hope that the government will come to our aid through the GETFund to complete the four-storey Girls Hostel project which is still at the foundation stage and suffered several abandonment in the hands of contractors,” he said. Dr. Dickson also used the opportunity to commend government for the reforms made to the College of Education through the introduction of a  four-year straight course leading to a Bachelor of Education. “I want to commend the government for taking this bold step amid a myriad of challenges encountered by the Ghanaian economy in recent times,” he said. He observed the move is an innovative one which needs the support and co-operation of all. Meanwhile, he has asked the new students to count themselves lucky to have been beneficiaries of the reforms and urged them to focus and take their studies seriously. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
