Duncan Amoah fined in case with BOST boss

Duncan Amoah (L) is expected to file the documents on June 25[/caption] The Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah, was over the week slapped with a GH¢700 fine by an Accra labour court in his case with the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST). Mr Amoah received the sanction after failing to file relevant documents since the last hearing. Presiding judge Gifty Dekyem was worried about the failure of Mr Amoah to file the documents as the case delays by such action. She, therefore, set Monday, June 25 as the next date to hear the case. The two are in court over claims by Mr Amoah that the BOST MD, Alfred Obeng Boateng, had plotted to have him “killed in 3 days”. Mr Obeng Boateng filed the GH¢5 million defamation suit against Mr Amoah to restrain the latter “from further publishing or broadcasting any word or words or images in any manner whatsoever to the effect that plaintiff had coopted, engaged, contracted or solicited the services of any person or persons to curse, insult, attack, threaten the life of the defendant or threaten to kill defendant in three days pending a final determination to this suit upon terms more particularly stated in the accompanying affidavit”.
