Founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has said that the think tank will choose how they demonstrate and who they want to partner with at the right time against the government for the power outages.

He described the call made to them by actress Yvonne Nelson to organize a protest against the government for the power outages just as the one that happened under the Mahama administration, as fair.

The movie producer in a post on her X platform on April 22 expressed her readiness to partner with IMANI Ghana for the second time to organise the demonstration against the Akufo-Addo government for the power cuts.

The actress was the lead organiser of a massive protest against the John Mahama government which brought together many celebrities over ‘dumsor’ back in 2015.

In a post on her X platform, Yvonne Nelson disclosed that her 2015 ‘dumsor’ protest was supported by IMANI Ghana and wants same to be done against the current government.

Replying to her on his Facebook page, Franklin Cudjoe said “We have heard the call by the redoubtable Ms.Yvonne Nelson for round two of #dumsormuststop. Fair call even as we (IMANI) have maintained our criticism of government’s bad decisions for what often seem like a rudderless leadership, the latest dumsor episodes being the zenith.

“So as you can see ( T-shirts), we are preparing and we will make the call and choose how we demonstrate and who we want to partner at the right time.

“Meanwhile, others can also organise their own unique protests in churches, mosques, bars, schools and homes .#DUMSORMUSTSTOP Kofi Bentil Selorm Branttie Bright Simons.”
