The deceased, who is believed to be in his early 30s, was on his way to distribute provisions and toiletries to customers when he lost control of the steering after a failed overtaking and crashed into the metal railings on the side of the road. According to eyewitnesses, driver of the vehicle which was moving from Anaji area, attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of him but had to abort it midway when he suddenly saw another vehicle approaching.
