Dome market goes up in flames

Several properties have been razed down in a fire outbreak at the Dome Market in the Ga East District of the Greater Accra region Wednesday evening. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service had a tough time battling to bring the raging fire under control. It is not clear what caused the fire. Properties running into thousands of cedis were lost to the fire which swept through the market around 8pm. The Greater Accra Regional Commander of the Fire Service, DCFO Ebenezer Simpson, told Accra-based Citi FM that had it not been the swiftness of personnel he dispatched to the scene, the damages would have been more.
