The Director of Communications for the Bawumia 2024 Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, is urging Ghanaians to recognize the significance of Vice President Bawumia’s initiative to digitize various sectors of the economy.

Explaining this in an interview on March 25, he pointed out that digitalization is crucial for economic growth in today’s world, hence trivialising it is of great concern.

According to him, none of the leaders that have had the opportunity to serve Ghanaians, has ever thought of the idea and nurtured it like the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“Nobody has had that focus over the period,” Aboagye remarked, “mention one economy that is thriving without digitalization. That is where the world is, when he says he’s focusing on digitalisation, let’s not trivialize it, this is why the Vice President must spend time to finish it,” he said in an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo and Isaac Ekow JB on Onua FM.

Responding to queries as to whether or not the Vice President has retired his brand as the “economic messiah,” Aboagye clarified that Bawumia is not abandoning this label, but only enforcing it through digitalization as “digitization is also part of the economy.”

Aboagye praised Vice President Bawumia’s “active and vibrant” approach to governance, asserting that the Vice President has proven himself as the most dynamic person to occupy that position in Ghana’s history.

“He is focused on ensuring that our long-term fundamentals of this economy are fixed,” Aboagye stated, “he is achieving and ticking each one of them. See what he has done across sectors in ensuring we have a more formalized economy with everybody contributing towards it.”
