Lady accused of killing Canadian boyfriend chained him during ‘kinky sex’ – Prosecution says

Fresh details have emerged in the case of Safina Mohammed, a 23-year-old Biological Science student who was arrested for allegedly killing her Canadian boyfriend, Frank Osei.

Prosecution alleged in court on March 7 that the accused chained his boyfriend while they were engaging in what she has described as ‘kinky sex’ thereby making him vulnerable and carried out the alleged crime.

Senior State Attorney, Nana Ama Adinkra in her opening statement to the jury said prosecution would present evidence which confirms that the deceased was chained with dog chains.

She informed the court that prosecution would also call nine witnesses to the stand including another boyfriend of the accused and five police officers to support the case.

Nana Ama Adinkra noted that the prosecution intends to present 31 exhibits as evidence to the claim.

Among the exhibits to be submitted before the court are an autopsy report, five large dog chains, cello tape, four padlocks with 10 keys, a cutter, a pair of gloves, three knives and several investigation caution statement from the accused person.

Safina Mohammed aka Diamond has however denied committing any crime.

Background

Safina was arrested in August 2022 for allegedly murdering her boyfriend at Ashaley Botwe School Junction in Accra together with an accomplice.

Police narrated that the deceased, Frank Kofi Osei, was a Ghanaian living in Canada who had come to the country on vacation.

Safina and her accomplice are said to have stabbed the deceased several times on his chin, jaw, back and strangled him to death.

Both were arraigned before the Adenta District Court and charged with conspiracy and murder in August 2022.
