All sittings in the northern sector of the country will be heard in the Ashanti Region capital city of Kumasi while those in the southern sector will be heard in Accra, according to the directive.

The cases to be heard in Kumasi from hence will come from Upper West, Upper East, North-East, Northern, Savannah, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western-North and Ashanti regions.

Those to be heard in Accra will come from Western, Central, Eastern, Oti, Volta and Greater Accra regions.

“In view of the foregoing, all pending appeals on the Court of Appeals listed above, are accordingly transferred to Kumasi and Accra respectively,” Chief Justice Anin-Yeboah stated.
