CAF CC: ES Setif knock Kotoko out after stalemate in Algeria

Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s CAF Confederation Cup dream have come to an end after a goaless draw with ES Setif away in the second leg played on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors lost the first leg 2-1 at home and were hoping to make amends.

The second leg, which was played at the Eight Stadium in Setif saw both teams creat chances.

Kotoko’s dream of reaching the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup is over. They will now focus on the Ghana Premier League which they have two outstanding games to play and will go on top shoukd they win all.

The 2-1 aggregate qualifies ES Setif to the group stage of the competition, leaving Kotoko with yet another disappointing campaign on the continent.

Kotoko will play away to Accra Hearts of Oak next in the Ghana Premier League.
