The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was on Saturday November 4, 2023 elected as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He obtained 61.4 % of the delegates’ votes as against his closest contender, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who got 37.4%.

The announcement was made at the forecourt of the Accra Sports stadium.
