He left on Saturday, September 12, a statement from his office said.
Signed by Kwabena Boadu, his press secretary, the statement on Sunday said Dr Bawumia was in the company of his wife, Samira.
They join thousands of Ghanaians and millions of Muslims around the world in performing this year’s Hajj.
“While on the pilgrimage, Dr Bawumia will use the spiritual exercise to among others pray for the people and nation of Ghana and to request Allah’s blessings for Ghana.”
