Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Lydia Seyram Alhassan on Sunday, May 14 hosted hundreds of women in her constituency to mark this year’s Mothers’ Day.
Drawn from across 11 electoral areas in the Constituency, the women received gifts and other donations from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Madam Seyram Alhassan described the Day as dear to her heart, expressing adoration for the women who work so hard to support their children and husbands in the Constituency.
Aside the gifts, the women were treated to good food and dancing “which underscored the joy and unity, existing among us”.
“In view of this, I encouraged our beautiful and lovely mothers to continue to demonstrate love and affection towards everyone,” she later wrote on Facebook, on Monday.
The distribution is set to continue on Tuesday, May 16 for those who could not make it to Sunday’s event.
