The party claimed the NDC created a “messed economy” during its eight-year term in office and has been made worse by the Akufo-Addo government which succeeded it. “Our nation is in crisis; a crisis caused by the National Democratic Congress administration sustained and worsened by the poor policies of the NPP under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo,” General Secretary of the APC, Mordechai Thiombiano Lompo, said. Addressing the National Delegates’ Congress of the NDC in Accra Saturday, he observed economic conditions in the country was worsening by the day, claiming there is so much suffering and corruption but Ghana doesn’t have to be like this. Ghanaians he said, need a third political force to salvage the people from suffering and the “most corrupt NPP government” under the leadership of NanaAkufo-Addo anad his vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. That third force, he said is the All People’s Congress, which he said the only party that will bring sanity to the Ghanaian economy. Mr. Lompo said the party is ready to take on the task of governance, reiterating “APC is coming with full arsenal to win the 2020 election”. He said the APC will offer Ghanaians “good governance and prosperity,” and  has thus called on Ghanaians to give the party the opportunity to lead the country. Wishing the NDC well in its Congress, the APC urged delegates to vote for aspirants with “brains” and not those with “money”. While the NPP in its solidarity message called  for “a healthy relationship” between political parties in the country, especially the NPP and the NDC, the Progress People’s Party said it is ready for strategic partnerships to develop the country.

The NDC National Delegates Congress will elect new executives to lead the party into the 2020 general election which they have christened “2020 victory agenda”. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
