The five-member committee set up by the Chief Justice to look into allegations of bribery and corruption against 22 circuit court judges and magistrates has suspended sitting until November.

According to sources, petitioner Anas Aremeyaw Anas wrote to the committee for excuse to travel out of the country for at least the whole of October.

One of the members of the committee is also expected to travel for an international assignment and would return in November.

Therefore, the committee decided to suspend sitting, our sources said.

Meanwhile, the 12 implicated high court judges are expected to face a justice of the Court of Appeal in hearing.

Anas’ exposé titled ‘Ghana in the Eyes of God: Epic of Injustice’ also sighted and cited over 180 court officials and officers of the state’s law-enforcement agencies.

The committee’s work had been interrupted by court suits by some of the implicated judges.
