President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended the organising committee of the upcoming Eastern Star Awards and official media partner, Media General.
The president commended the organisers, Eastern Star Awards Company Limited and Media General for conceptualising the awards to recognise distinguished personalities in Ghana for their contributions to the development of the Eastern region and the country as a whole.
President Akufo-Addo made the commendation when the organising committee comprising a delegation of chiefs from the Eastern Region and officials from Media General paid a courtesy call on him at the Jubilee House.
The delegation took the opportunity to invite the President to the awards.
The Eastern Star Awards and Trade Expo, first of its kind in the country, is scheduled for September 2018 and will showcase the best from the region, from its rich culture to the enormous business and investment opportunities.
The President accepted the invitation and commended the team again for taking the initiative to organise the awards to project the region, its people, natural resources and investment without waiting for or relying on the government.
He also commended Media General for partnering the organising committee for the upcoming Awards.
Onua FM 95.1 MHz, one of the nation’s fastest growing radio stations and a member of the Media General Group will be the official media partner for the Awards and Trade Expo to promote and showcase the best the Eastern Region has to offer.
