According to him, not all members of the executive party had defected to the PPP as earlier claimed by Akua Donkor.
He expressed these sentiments at a ceremony to announce the defection of some executive members of the GFP to the Convention People’s Party(CPP).
He said not all members agreed to follow Akua Donkor to PPP.
“She went to lie to the flagbearer of the PPP that she, together with executive members and the rank and file, has agreed to join the PPP,” he said on TV 3’s News 360.
“She rather took an arbitrary decision without our knowledge and consent.”
Agyenim Boateng revealed that the rest of the executives have switched carpets to throw support behind Dr. Abu Sakara, Flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party(CPP).
“We also resolved looking through the political lenses to find out which of the flagbearers can suit us,” he said, “and we realized it was Dr. Abu Sakara.”
Accepting their decision to join his campaign, Dr. Sakara, said the decision of the executive members of the GFP to join his party is a reflection of the trust Ghanaians have in him.
“It is a reflection of the confidence that Ghanaians have that something different is about to happen,” he said.
“Ghanaians have tasted A and have tasted B. Now, they want C.”
