The case has been adjourned three times by the Kumasi Circuit Court 2 due to a petition submitted to the AG by Mr Jumah and his co-accused, Richies Oscar, who also his campaign manager.
Superintendent Emmanuel Akonnor, the head of the Legal Department of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, informed the Court on Thursday, July 9 about the AG’s advice but asked for ample time to prepare for the start of the case.
The presiding judge, Afua Adu-Amankwa, as a result, agreed to the investigator’s proposal and adjourned the case to August 6.
The former Member of Parliament’s campaign manager has also been accused of resisting lawful arrest by the police.
The two are on a GH¢10,000 bail with surety and are to report to the police every Friday until the case is closed.
