Mr Afoko was praying the Court to stop the party from discussing him at an extra-ordinary delegates’ conference scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 19.
Though the agenda of the Sunyani Coronation Park conference is primarily to unveil the 2016 campaign team of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Mr Afoko suspected a resolution may be reached to endorse his removal from office.
But his attempts to prevent the delegates from discussing him hit the rocks on Friday, December 18 when the Court presided over by Justice Anthony Oppong threw out his application.
Counsel of the NPP assured the Court that there will be no discussion of Mr Afoko but in the unlikely event of his removal at the conference, due process will be followed.
Mr Afoko was suspended by the National Council after he was accused of derailing efforts by the flagbearer to reclaim power from the National Decmoratic Congress (NDC).
Following his suspension were similar actions meted out to the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, and Second Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe.
