The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has said that a lot can change from now to December 7 when Ghanaians will go and elect a president and Members of Parliament.

He said there are going to be several surveys by the Global Info Analytics before the day of the elections.

The final poll, he said, will project who is likely to win the elections.

Speaking on the New Day show on TV3 Monday, April 9, he said that the results of the current poll that puts John Dramani Mahama ahead of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia can change.

“A lot can change because today is not December 7,” he said.

The poll puts John Mahama at 54.3 percent, while Dr. Bawumia secured 34.6 percent. Leader of the Movement for Change Alan Kyerematen had 7.5 percent, while the New Force’s Nana Kwame Bediako polled 2.3 percent.

Following this poll, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah raised concerns about the methodology.

“The value that we place on the outcome of this survey cannot be inclusive to the people of this country because the instrument itself can create problems due to people’s understanding of the questions asked.

“So therefore, the answers they are giving, as to whether or not they are answering the question about the country moving in the right direction (which is relative when you translate into another language) is the issue.

“For me, the premium we should put on this should not be too high,” he said on Friday, April 5.

Reacting to the concerns against the poll, Mussa Dankwah said “We give enough data so even if you don’t like the methodology look at the data.”
