4 arrested for allegedly killing 14yr old girl for rituals at Twifo Agona

Four persons suspected to have murdered a 14-year-old girl, at Twifo Agona in the Twifo Atimorkwa District for rituals have been arrested by the Police in the Central Region Kwabena Asamoah currently the key suspect aged 35, was arrested at his hideout on Tuesday. He mentioned Abraham Entie,28; Kofi Owusu, 36; and one Akwasi Asamoah as his accomplices. Central Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Oppong, said Ivy Tsibu was on January 12 reported to the Atimorkwa Police station as having gone missing. Her father, George Tsibu told the police that at about 9.00 am last Saturday, his daughter left home and did not return, and that he suspected Akwasi Asamoah of abducting his daughter. DSP Irene Oppong said at about 1:00 pm on the same day, police discovered the body of the deceased at the Twifo Agona cemetery with ants all over it. She said examination on the body revealed that there were marks on the body which suggest the deceased was assaulted before she was murdered. DSP Irene oppong said the prime suspect, Kwabena Asamoah was arrested at his hideout upon intelligence and he admitted that he and his accomplices had killed the young girl for money rituals. On January 15, the three other accomplices were arrested, the Police said The suspects are currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
