The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has piloted its parliamentary primary in the Amenfi West Constituency in the Western Region.
The elections in the constituency went on “smoothly” and “successfully” though the winner is yet to be known.
These were made known by the party’s leader President John Dramani Mahama on the last day of his ‘Changing Lives’ tour.
The final day saw him address a rally at the Jubilee Park in the Volta Region capital of Ho on Thursday, November 19.
President Mahama disclosed that the success of the Amenfi West elections is going to be replicated across country’s remaining constituencies on Saturday, November 21.
TV3 gathers Eric Afful beat competition from five other aspirants to emerge winner, making him the party’s candidate for the 2016 elections.
Meanwhile, there will be no elections in two constituencies on Saturday when the entire membership of the party goes to the polls to elect parliamentary candidates.
Chiana Paga in the Upper East Region and Nkwanta South in the Volta Region will not have elections as a result of incomplete vetting processes, according to General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
