John Antwi sets record in Egyptian top-flight

Ghanaian International John Antwi has set yet another record in the history of the Egyptian Premier League after scoring for Pyramids FC in their game against EL Gounah.

The former Sekondi Eleven Wise goal poacher became the first foreigner to score 100 goals in the history of the Egyptian Football since football was first played in the North Africa region.

The 28 year old moved to Ismaily SC in 2013 and has since played for Al Ahly SC, Lel Makkasa SC and currently with Pyramids FC.

Breakdown of John Antwi’s 100 goals at Egypt

Ismaily SC = 35 goals.

Al Ahly SC = 11 goals.

Lel Makkasa SC = 40 goals.

Pyramids FC= 14 goals.

John Antwi surpassed Papa Arko in 2018 to become the top scoring foreigner in the Egyptian Premier League with 63 goals.
