A former Deputy Attorney General, Mr Joseph Dindiok Kpemka has said he is ready to serve in any capacity if he is given the opportunity by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The former lawmaker for Tempane who lost his seat in last year's elections said this in an interview with Alfred Ocansey on the Sunrise show on 3FM Wednesday June 2.
He described himself as one of the favorite ‘sons' of the president hence, his optimism that he will be given a role to play in the second government of the President.
“You don't appoint yourself, it is the decision of the president to do that.
“You recall that he [President Akufo-Addo] was very emphatic that those of us who were ministers and lost our seats will not be appointed as ministers, that he was very empathic. But it is not a bar to other areas.
“Because I know some of my colleagues in parliament who have been appointed to other positions already. My very learned mother Hajia Alima who lost the Nalerigu seat, she has is now Ghana's Ambassador to US.”
He added [President Akufo-Addo] is going to get positions for people but not ministerial so long as you lost your position as a minister or deputy minister .
“As I said, that is his prerogative , I will not be able to read his mind but
“I happen to be one of his favorite sons. What again do you expect from a person that when in opposition, attended your mother's funeral right from Accra to my village in the Upper East. In government he drove a presidential convoy to come and attend my father's funeral and so the love is deep. So I have no doubt but where? I cant tell you, just ray for me.
“I am ready to serve in any capacity.”
