Some nurses hit the streets last Monday (21 October, 2019)[/caption] The Ministry of Health has announced fresh recruitment of medical officers who completed their housemanship and are registered with the Medical and Dental Council. Allied health professionals on the 2016/2017 supplementary list will also be part of the latest recruitment effort. Enrolled nurses of the May/June 2016 referrals will also be recruited. These were contained in a statement issued on Thursday, October 24 by the Ministry of Health. Dated 23rd October, 2019 and signed by the Chief Director, Nana Kwabena Adjei-Mensah, the statement said: “Recruitment into the service will commence on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 9:00am.” The medical officers to be recruited are expected to have registered with the Medical and Dental Council as of June, 2019. “Qualified medical officers, allied health professionals and enrolled nurses are requested to formally apply on the Ministry of Health online application portal by logging-in onto https://hr.moh.gov.gh and follow the instructions to select the preferred agency under the Ministry.” Deadline for the submission of application is Friday, November 1. This comes as a relief to many health professionals who have protested their unemployment status. They have hit the streets on a number of occasions for failure on the part of government to post them to work. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
