The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, has tested positive for coronavirus, multiple sources are reporting.
The Minister is said to have been admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Tuesday, June 9.
UGMC is a major treatment centre in Ghana’s fight against coronavirus with six out of 16 patients with severe conditions on admission at the facility.
It was at UGMC that the Chief Executive of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), Anthony Kobina Kurentsir Sam, lost his life last Friday.
Mr Agyemang-Manu has been at the forefront of advocacy on the preventive measures in the fight the deadly viral disease.
