Hawkers at Kumasi Race Course besiege KMA premises over poor sales
Scores of hawkers at the Kumasi Race Course have besieged the premises of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to demonstrate over slump in business activities in their area of operation.
The traders say the Assembly’s failure to ensure the full relocation of some commercial transport operators from the Kejetia Lorry Terminal to the Race Course has slowed their businesses resulting in poor sales.
According to them, most of the transport operators are still operating on the periphery of the Kejetia Lorry Terminal, which was closed down in June make way for reconstruction work to begin.
