Wekia was adjudged the star performer for the night on the 4th week. The team rallying behind the Upper East Regional representative in the 2018 Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show, Wekia, has dismissed an online publication which subtly presents her as one of the evictees in last Sunday’s show. Team Wekia in a rejoinder stated their candidate is doing very well in the GMB house and “cannot be cited whether in word or photo in the list of evictees”. The 2018 GMB show hit its first eviction night Sunday, October 14. The Upper West Regional representative, Nuo, and the Volta Regional representative,Dzifa, were the causalities of the eviction night exiting the competition on the fourth week. The Upper East Regional Representative, Wekia, dazzled on the night and was adjudged the star performer of the night. The opinion, which is the writer’s perspective on the GMB event with particular emphasis on the eviction of the Upper West Regional representative, Nuo,mistaken her for Wekia. But Team Wekia, in a statement signed by its PRO Dezmond A Kampoe, described as “unacceptable to us, the photo used in the story is rather the Upper East Regional representative, Wekia who was the star performer of the night”. According to the team, it cannot stand attempts made by others to tarnish the image of their candidate whom they believe will win the pageant. “We find this (mis)representation quite unfortunate as it does not only misinform the public but also steals the shine from our candidate who has been phenomenal in the GMB house. “It is public knowledge that Wekia was adjudged the star performer of the night and cannot be cited whether in word or photo in the list of evictees. “The Wekia brand is a winning one and that must be protected and projected. We cannot and will not countenance publications that have the tendency of compromising our candidate,” portions of the rejoinder reads. The team has thus called for calm heads within the camp as “processes are being followed to correct the anomaly” while galvanising support for Wekia. Source:editors.3news.com|Ghana
