It was another educative night fused with rich culture, music, and entertainment as the eight remaining contestants in the 12th edition of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant took turns to represent various African countries. And as her stars would allow her, Brong Ahafo Region’s representative in this year’s competition, Ohema, was adjudged ‘Star Performer’ at the end of the night’s performances. Ohema was the last to perform on the night as she rounded up beautifully with her performance as an Ivorian dancer doing the Goli dance, and telling the history of the Goli people and how the dance came about. Winning the night’s prize is her second after winning it on Week Three of the competition.

Contestants were expected to give a history of the African countries they represented and the relationship each of these countries have with one Ghana. The show kicked off with an exciting performance from award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame. Then came Northern Region’s Nabia, who as a warrior enlightened the audience and viewers about the great Mali Empire. Greater Accra’s Naa came in as a Nigerian football fan chronicling the history of Nigerian football, and how the sport brings all Africans together. Tewa, from the Central Region, performed as a representative of Togo at an AU Summit; she told the history of Togo, while highlighting some similarities between Ghana and Togo in terms of food, language and tradition. Easter Region’s Abena also came in as a Ghanaian student who had just returned from Ethiopia, and was narrating her experiences to her parents while highlighting the rich culture and way of life of the Ethiopians. Afrah, representing the Ashanti Region, came after Abena, and she educated the audience and viewers about South African music and how it has evolved over the years. Adepa posed as Zambia’s first president, Kenneth David Kaunda, and recounted Zambia’s struggle for independence. Upper East Region’s Wekia represented Egypt and educated the audience and viewers about the history of Egypt, their food, dance and sports. At the end of the night, Nabia was adjudged the Most Eloquent Contestant while Ohema was crowned Star Performer. The judges decided to spare the contestants from eviction after Volta Region representative Dzifa and Upper West Region representative Nuo exited the competition last week. Ghana’s Most Beautiful airs every Sunday at 8:00pm on TV3, and is also live of all the network’s social media pages.
