GMB 2021: Empowering girls through education – Esi, Western-North Region

Priscilla Esi Nyamekye believes that empowering women should start right from the grassroots – Education. She hopes to leverage the GMB Platform to educate as many girls as she can in the region.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful contestant and Western North region representative, Esi, is passionate about the future of young women in her community. As a student of Wiawso College of Education, Esi believes in the power of enlightenment. And how fundamental it is to the growth of any group of people.

“My community project is to empower ladies and champion the importance of girl child education. It is a very big challenge in my community.”

21-years-old Esi comes from Swefi-Juaboso in the Western North part of the country. She likes to be informed through research and share her knowledge in insightful conversations. She also happens to be a huge football fan. Esi aspires to establish a career in the classroom. Where she would explore the world of science and ICT with her students in a lecture room.

According to Esi, choosing GMB was no accident nor mistake. After years of closely following the progress of the best pageantry in Ghana, she believes it is her turn to champion her dreams through the crown. She said, “I chose the GMB platform to challenge myself to perform. And also to impact women through girl child education using a prestigious platform.”

Esi trusts herself to emerge as the queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2021 and puts confidence in her charisma to charm her way to the throne. She said, “I believe in myself. I believe that I am beautiful, I am bold and smart. And I have the charisma and ability to represent Ghana internationally.
“I am definitely going to win. I strongly believe in myself that I am going to win this crown.”
