Two persons have become the latest casualties of the coronavirus disease in Ghana as the cumulative number of cases has gone past 46,000. In the latest update released by the Ghana Health Service (GHS), 127 new cases including 3 from international travellers were recorded. This takes the total number of cases, as of Thursday, September 17, to 46,004. The deaths are currently 297 with the recoveries-cum-discharges 45,153. This leaves the active cases currently at 554, from 499 at the last count. So far, 18 international travellers have tested positive for the virus.
