Ga East inaugurates Council of Churches

The logo as well as mission statement and outlined vision was unveiled on Saturday
Churches within the Ga East Municipal Assembly have joined forces to establish the Ga East Council of Churches. The Council aims at promoting unity among Christian churches in the municipality while spearheading development within the community member churches are located. At the official inauguration held at the Soul Care Assemblies of God Church at Ashongman-Estates on Saturday, retired Presbyterian Minister Reverend Charles Barifi Ahwireng, who was also the guest speaker, commended all the churches for coming together for such a noble and religious cause. He tasked the leadership to be resolute in helping grow the municipality spiritually.
Leadership of the Council of Churches
The Chief Executive of Ga East Municipal Assembly, Janet Tulasi Mensah, was full of praise for the body. She said it was part of a direction she received from God when she assumed the reins, to bring all the men of God within the Assembly together. Speaking in Twi, Mrs Tulasi Mensah said she wants her municipality to be the envy of all. She asked leadership of the Council to consider meeting monthly to pray for the Assembly.
