Fire officers on Saturday night had to battle a fierce inferno in Darkuman, a suburb of Accra, near the Post Office.
Four fire tenders were immediately deployed to the scene to rescue the situation.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known but a video posted on the official page of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) saw personnel working themselves up to ensure that it does not spread to near-by facilities.
“This is a very worrying trend after just 24 hours of a very similar incident,” an officer is heard in the video as saying, alluding to a fire incident at Mile 7 on Friday.
Later on Saturday, personnel were again SOSed to CMB in the Central Business District as some shops were engulfed in fire.
Fighting the flames is still ongoing.
