Leading local dialect television station under the Media General (MG) Group Onua TV is set to broadcast in other local languages apart from Akan.

Currently, the station broadcasts in only Akan, but it is poised to roll out programmes in other local dialects.

The General Manager of MG TV, Francis Doku, made the revelation on Onua TV on Monday, August 10 while celebrating its first anniversary at the forecourt of Media General in Accra.

Exactly a year ago, Onua TV alongside Akoma FM in Kumasi was launched with road shows on some principal streets of the Ashanti Region capital.

Mr. Doku said “very soon, we shall roll out programmes in other local dialects. We have Ewes, Gas, Muslims, among others listening to us, so we shall go all round and bring our viewers more exciting programmes in that order”.

Elections

The General Manager said 2020 is an election year and Onua TV is poised to ensure that viewers are given the best election coverage without any adulterations.
