May the Lord guide our journey ahead – Ablakwa prays for NDC

North Tongu Member of Parliament Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has prayed for God’s guidance for his party the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the seeming confusion that has plagued the party in recent times.

Sharing his thoughts in a tweet after a meeting he had with the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin over his resignation from the Appointements Committee, Mr Ablakwa said “Concluded a fruitful and frank meeting with Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban S.K. Bagbin a while ago.

“I am enormously grateful to him for accepting my resignation from the Appointments Committee of Parliament. May the Good Lord show us mercy & guide our steps in the journey ahead.”

Mr Ablakwa has said after days of careful reflection, he has decided to resign from the  Committee .

TV3’s Komla Klutse reported from Parliament House in Accra that the former Deputy Education Minister said he will not rescind his decision.

Mr Ablakwa said in a letter dated March 30, and addressed to the Speaker, Alban Kingsford Bagbin that “after days of careful reflection and thoughtful considerations.

“I shall like to state that the reasons for this difficult decision is both personal and on principle.”
