Winner of the Next Rated Act in the just ended 3 Music Awards, Soorebia, wishes to have the support of top Ghanaian artistes like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, M.anifest to help push his music career which is on fast acceleration.

It is his wish that as the 3Music Award Scheme has recognized and awarded his talent, he gets to work with some top musicians in the country to elevate him a little more.

Even though the “2-Strings” hitmaker  is positive that his breakthrough is in the offing, he believes that “it takes one to make one”, an adage which reiterates the need for everyone to be supported.

Speaking to MzGee in a one-on-one interview on TV3 New Day, the Bolgatanga-based rapper noted that, much as he would want top artistes put a verse or two on his songs, even a tweet from them would mean a lot to his career and that he is anxiously looking forward to such an opportunity while he works his way to the top.

“If I have a song with Sarkodie, I’m sure I will blow, if I have a song with Shatta Wale I’m sure I will blow, if I have a song with M.anifest I’m sure I will blow, there are so many other names”, he said.

“Even a single tweet can help you make it from Sarkodie… with Shatta Wale, his fans are just as crazy both on twitter and on the streets and if someone like Shatta Wale should decide that he is going to bless Soorebia with this… it takes something, just a tweet or something he says about you, not even a verse”, he added.

According to Soorebia, who blends English and his native language, Frafra in his rap, the fusion is purposefully crafted to make his brand stand out and still resonate with everyone around the world.

The fast-rising artiste said winning the Next Rated Act at the 2020 3Music Awards did not come to him as a surprise because he had the full support of the Upper East behind him. He however, noted that it was rather his nomination which surprised him and once he crossed that hurdle he was sure of victory.

“The nomination did, but winning the award didn’t come as a surprise. We have a sort of support in the North that goes beyond just social media numbers so essentially our people out there want us to make it so much in the whole of Ghana”, he noted.

While he admits Fancy Gadam and Maccassio have grown to become household names in the Northern part of Ghana, he contends that the two cannot be used as a standard of measuring the success of artistes from that area. He believes each person success story could be different.

Born Martin Soore, the versatile rapper has consistently pushed his way through woods to gain national recognition, working closely with the likes of Maccasio, Wanlov, Akan, Darko Vibes amongst others.

He believes it is his “2-Strings” song with its corresponding video that gave him recognition at the 3Music Awards which he eventually won his category.

Meanwhile, he is set to release new song titled “Happiness”.
