A Renowned economist Kwame Pianim says he has not been contacted by the campaign team of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to serve as an advisor in his manifesto team.
He described the report that says he has been appointed as fake.
“I think it is fake news, nobody has talked to me, nobody has contacted me. I didn’t know when they were inaugurating it. Maybe it is not me, they mean somebody else but definitely, I have not been contacted,” he told Paa Kwasi Asare on the Business Focus on TV3 on Tuesday, March 5.
Former Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Dr Mark Assibey-Yeboah has been appointed to the chair of the manifesto sub-committee on the economy.
The former Chair of the Finance Committee in Parliament was among the list of persons selected to play key roles in the drafting of the NPP’s 2024 manifesto released on Wednesday, February 21.
Also, former General Secretary Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has been appointed to chair the sub-committee on housing and infrastructure.
The entire manifesto committee is charged by Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.
