Highlife musician Kofi Boakye Yiadom, popularly known as Kofi B in showbiz, has passed away. He died in the wee hours of Sunday, February 2. He was billed to perform later on Sunday at the 60th birthday anniversary of the Chief of Abeadze Dominase Traditional Area in the Central Region. He was at his hotel on Saturday night getting ready for the show when a noise was heard from his room. He was billed to perform at the birthday party of Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the First Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, with Kofi Nti. Narrating the incident on 3FM on Sunday, Kofi Nti said the deceased musician showed no sign of ill-health when they got to Dominase. He admitted, nonetheless, that Kofi B was on medication but had his medicine from Endpoint Clinic with him. The Rakia hitmaker said he had to carry his colleague highlife artiste to the hospital, where he recovered shortly, after he knocked on his door demanding the keys to their car. His condition relapsed and he died at exactly 3:44am. He dismissed reports that Kofi B was poisoned.
