Ghana’s Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia celebrated her birthday Friday, August 20, and Ghanaians took to social media to express love the wife of the Vice President.
Her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was at his romantic best early Friday morning when he posted a heart-warming message to the 2nd Lady, to lead the eulogies on social media.
“Happy birthday to my dear wife Samira. You have been a rock for me and you continue to amaze me with all the things you do for others, especially the underprivileged. The kindness of your heart shines through even brighter than your beauty. Happy birthday darling. I love you,” Dr. Bawumia wrote on his social media handles.
The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, also took to her Facebook page to send a warm message to the Second Lady.
“Happy birthday my dear Samira. May you continue to grow in grace and wisdom,” wrote Rebecca Akufo-Addo on her Facebook page.
A host of distinguished Ghanaians and the general public also took to their social media handles to wish the 2nd Lady Happy Birthday.
On twitter, the hashtag #HappyBirthdaySamira, which accompanied the Vice President’s lovely message, trended at number one in Ghana on Friday morning as the general public joined the trend to wish her well.
The 2nd Lady’s remarkable beauty was highlighted by well wishers, and many others also commended her humanitarian works.
