Gabby Otchere-Darko ‘endorses’ Sam George as NDC’s next flagbearer

Lawyer Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has in jest advised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to select its Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram Constituency as its next Presidential Candidate.

He tweeted thus on Saturday, October 9:

If politics is all about populism & popularity then I have fantastic news for the NDC: they have found their next presidential candidate & he is the MP for Ningo Prampram #SamGeorge. Young, articulate, driven, bold, & extremely popular. The main sponsor of the anti-LBGTQI Bill.

This may have stemmed from the MP’s advocacy against the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) community in the country.

He is championing the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, which is at its consideration stage.

But Sam George appears not to be distracted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) member’s tweet and replied that he is focused on majorly ensuring the return of John Dramani Mahama.
