The campaign team of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will have the task of convincing Ghanains that the economic situation they find themselves in will be better under their watch, a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante has said.

Dr Asah-Asante indicated that the issue of employment and the growth of the economy will take centre stage of the campaign this year.

He said this while reacting to the campaign team of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“They need to be able to convince Ghanaians that the economic situation they find themselves in, in no time, and their means of livelihood there will be an improvement.

“Issue of employment should be packaged to send to the people to convince them, issues of the growth of the economy,” Dr Asah-Asante said on the Ghana Tonight Show on TV3 Monday February 19.

He added that the messages that will be delivered to Ghanaians ahead of the December 7, 2024 general section should be geared toward addressing the critical problems the people are saddled with.

He described Dr Bawumia’s campaign team as “men and women of substance.”
