Bawku Naaba calls for one-touch endorsement of MDCEs within his kingdom

    The Zugraana, Naaba Asigri Azorka Abugrago ll, has called on Assembly members of the six District Assemblies within his jurisdiction to give the newly appointed Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) a one-touch endorsement of approval.

    The revered traditional leader eulogized the President of the Republic of Ghana for selecting worthy sons of his area to such high positions.

    The Zugraan was quick to admonish the new entrants to work hard in justifying their selection and make the President proud.

    He further stated that the renomination of some MDCEs was a result of hard work, commitment and dedication to service.

    He took turns to bless each and every one of the nominees.

    He made this call on Thursday, September 23 when the newly nominated MDCEs paid a courtesy call on him to formally inform him of the nomination and crave his support and blessings.

    In attendance was the Musah Osman, Tahiru Issaku Ahmed, Zubeiru Abdulai, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu, and Amadu Hamza of Bawku, Binduri, Bawku West, Pusiga and Garu districts respectively.

    The nominees pledged to the work assiduously in realising the implementation of government programmes and policies to ameliorate any existing development gap.

    “We would like to thank you, our father, for the support and prayers for the Kusaug kingdom to progress in unity with purpose and we, your children, will uphold your sacred principles to development,” Ayinga Yakubu, nominee for Binduri, on behalf of the nominees, assured the king.

    In an exclusive interview with the nominee for Garu district, Musah Osman, he minced no words to thank the Bawku Naaba for creating an atmosphere of peace in Kusaug kingdom, resulting in the smooth of governance.

    This he said contributed to the selection of political and governmental appointees in the six municipal and districts in the Kausag kingdom.

    “My colleagues and I will not disappoint the president and the Zugrana in carrying out our duties as expected of us and our doors are opened for everybody irrespective of where one belongs provided is development driven,” the Garu nominee said.
